Taking the First Step

It has often been said that the most difficult part of change is taking that first step. Often times, we become comfortable in our routines, behaviors, or rituals to where change can take us too far out of our comfort zones. For many, recognizing how change can improve our daily lives can be a struggle in itself. It compels us to ask the hard hitting questions to which we may not be ready to know the answer: “What is working in my life? What is not? What is in my control? What is not? How can I acknowledge my feelings? How do I cope with my feelings? How do I find peace?” Taking the first step to exploring these answers is where therapy can help. The journey to change is one step away.
