Holistic Approach

Each area of your life affects all the others.

How you sleep affects your effectiveness at work. The food you eat affects your energy levels which affect how you show up in your relationships.

Your whole life is made up of interconnected pieces that contribute to create all of you.

In my work, I approach every person, and every challenge, with an eye on how the pieces work together to create the whole. I call this approach “holistic.” I help my clients achieve wellness in all the areas of their life beyond just the symptom that initially brings them to therapy.

For example, you may present with the issue of low self-esteem, and we may find ourselves looking at your eating patterns, finances or perhaps the organization of your household.

When we aim to achieve wellness in all areas, we start to see our life transforming for the better. Not only do symptoms decrease, but we are working to address root causes of issues.

We begin replacing negative patterns of living for positive ones as we remove barriers toward freedom, fulfillment and a sense of vibrancy. Hence, we are working preventatively against future negative symptoms, leading to long-term wellness on all levels.

What kinds of work do you do with clients?

Although the scope of my work extends beyond this list… let’s take one week for example, I may work with:

Sherry on financial coaching with her husband, teaching them to use a spending plan that accounts for their irregular and encourages mindful spending.
Jean doing an active, cathartic meditation to address childhood trauma and energetic blockages.
Sam on clearing physical clutter in the home to reduce stress and create a more mindful home environment.
Jamie on creating a daily practice of meditation with her children to create healthy routines in her family.
Offering Jordan supportive reflection and validation during her first 90 days of 12-step recovery and working the steps.
Morgan on identifying negative distortions and schemas to transform negative thought patterns, introducing her to affirmations and targeted journal-writing exercises.
